Alzheimer's Treatments: Benefits, Risks, and Possible Burdens


Anti-Amyloid therapy is a possible treatment option for patients with signs of Alzheimer’s disease. Many people have found it helpful to think about the benefits, harms, and possible burdens of different treatment options for various medical conditions to decide what is right for them. The Anti-Amyloid Therapy Decision Aid focuses on working through the complex decision about whether to take anti-amyloid therapy. Since there are two FDA-approved anti-amyloid therapies called lecanemab and donanemab, this guide also addresses some of the differences between the two drugs.
